I was offered a male puppy from an incredible all brown/black pedigree litter,
and the moment I laid eyes on him, I could not scoop him up fast enough.
Frank was a little older and the last pup available, so he arrived with
a touch of uncertainty about him, but also the most striking thick, dark brown coat
and a beautifully long, straight muzzle, finished with
just the right amount of chiseling beneath his soft oval eyes.
In short, Poodle ideal type.
I named him Frank because he carries that unmistakable old-soul presence, laid back, gentle
and with those soft, knowing eyes that just seemed to need a name to match.
From the beginning, it felt right.
Since then, we have been together building his confidence every day,
and it’s been such a joy to watch him blossom.
Bit by bit, the hesitation faded, replaced with tail wagging happiness, curiosity, and charm.
These days, Frank is living his best life.
He patrols his one-acre kingdom on squirrel watch with impressive dedication, enjoys spirited daily games
of "keep away" with his poodle friends (sometimes victorious, never discouraged),
and always manages to collect a toy pile worthy of royalty.
His weekly "spa days" are another highlight-one-on-one pampering that he enjoys,
quite rightly, as his due celebrity treatment.
To help him reach his full potential, Frank is now working with a professional handler
who is very skilled at guiding him toward the show ring.
I can not wait to see him step into that spotlight,
strut his stuff and-fingers crossed, earn his Championship Title.
