I spent months researching brown Miniature Poodle breeders,
determined to find my perfect brown female.
But when my friend Cathy sent me a photo of this avaialable
stunning black male, I did not hesitate for a second.
I told her "GRAB HIM," because he was just too ideal to pass up.
Sure, I wasn't looking for a black miniature Poodle or a male-but sometimes,
the best things come in unexpected packages. And Pete, with his perfect combination of looks and temperament,
was exactly what I had been hoping for my program.
My gut instinct was spot on.
Pete quickly finished his AKC Championship as a puppy
along the way, winning Best Puppy in Poodle Specialty Show
and Best in Show Poodle Specialty Variety.
Pretty impressive for a dog I was not even technically "looking for."
Pete isn’t just a show ring star, he is also an incredibly sweet, loving companion at home.
When he’s not playing 'keep away' with the girls, he is cuddling up for some downtime.
Pete proved he has got the health and temperament to match the beauty
earning his AKC Temperament Title with a perfect score and passing all OFA and DNA
health clearances.
Next stop is earning his Canadian GRAND Championship in 2026
because apparently Pete has decided that exceeding expectations
is just part of his job description.
